Coachella......finally
I love music.
What took me so long?
Finally made it to
Coachella. Beautiful music, beautiful women, beautiful times. But
it takes strength.
This was my email
to the crew the next day:
Great weekend at Coachella. Nice to see all of you.
It was around 1am last night, when I was driving solo
through the desert with the top down, right around Beaumont, CA, when I had an
out of body experience. I was either nearing death or asleep at the wheel
& dreaming. As I had the accelerator locked in at 90mph, my body
slowly rose above the car and I was flying through the air. Above the
car, everything was still and clear. And the echoing words of the last
couple days filled the air. Like when a guy yelled "420!" at
Dan and he responded with "Rape girls!". Or when Rza came out
on stage and was like "Yo man, turn that orchestra up!". Or
when Pete shoved some crying, drugged teenager and was like "Don't touch
my brother!". Or when KC was like "Yeah, I don't really like
music" while we were at Coachella.
And then the echoing words stopped and there was just one
long continuous scream. And it was Craig. And he was yelling:
"DaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!"
And then I swerved off the road and smashed into a tree.
I'm now dead and writing this email from the other side.
Can't wait for next year!!!
I had many takeaways. One
of them is that everything Damon Albarn touches turns to gold.
