In The Ends

"We only want to be free. And as funny as it sounds it's all we want. To not have our egos bound with the rays of suns. Because man should be free as falling rain. To find what he loves even if it's pain" - The Growlers

Santa Barbara

Driving up the coast of California and exploring is unequivocally my favorite way to spend any weekend. There's just something about the California Riviera, as some people call it, that makes you feel so alive. Whether it's wine country, the beaches, the mountains or the redwood forests, you can't go wrong.

A recent trip to Santa Barbara for Petey's birthday reminded me why I love it there. A party bus through wine country, amazing scenery and good company; I could literally do it every weekend.

The Mile High City for July 4th

I spent July 4th in the Mile High City with the crew from Iowa City. Somehow, I'm the only one from our senior year house that has not ended up in Denver. And I might be falling behind. Everyone seems to have a nice apartment, good job, close friends nearby and significant others that like to do things like go camping (I forgot that there are girls out there that will not only agree to go camping, but actually enjoy it).

The highlight of the trip was Blues Traveler at Red Rocks when a hurricane came through. And respect for opening act Rebelution who put on a good show.
