In The Ends

"We only want to be free. And as funny as it sounds it's all we want. To not have our egos bound with the rays of suns. Because man should be free as falling rain. To find what he loves even if it's pain" - The Growlers

The Hardest I Have Laughed Since Borat

There was a fucking tailgate outside of Best Buy tonight. I had heard about this shit. People camp outside of Best Buys to wait for the latest video game system to go on sale; this time it's PS3. I didn't doubt that people actually did this, but I didn't realize that this shit is no joke until I walked past Best Buy tonight. This party was better than any Iowa football tailgate. I'm talking white people, black people, Mexicans, Asians, Arabs, every race, color, and creed were camped outside this Best Buy. They were grilling and playing guitar, with lawn chairs to sit in and board games spread out across the side walk. They had sleeping bags and pillows and food it seemed that could last for weeks. The press was there doing interviews; people even dressed up in costumes, one dude was dressed up as a PS3. The crazy thing is that out of the 1000 people that were there I didn't see one frown on one face. These people could not have been happier. PS3 brings people together apparently.

Hating OJ Simpson is another thing that brings people together. Fox announced yesterday that it will air a two part interview with OJ titled "If I did it, here's how it happened". This is Fox degressing to the times when they put complete trash on TV (When Animals Attack, Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire, etc). Being in charge of the viewer comment line for Fox, I had the priviledge of listening to voice messages from outraged viewers calling in and complaining about OJ. People from every corner of this country called to express their extreme displeasure that the interviews will be airing. Over 800 people called today, every type of person you could imagine, but they had one thing in common, they all hated OJ and didn't want any network to give him airtime.

This is the stuff that brings Americans together.

Were there Gypsy's at the tailgate? I've been looking for some. I need some tears to protect me from the da AIDS.
