In The Ends

"We only want to be free. And as funny as it sounds it's all we want. To not have our egos bound with the rays of suns. Because man should be free as falling rain. To find what he loves even if it's pain" - The Growlers

Dance

There’s going to be literally millions of articles, blogs, columns and journal entries written about Michael Jackson over the next few weeks / months. Here’s my addition:

Music is a huge part of the person I am today. It comes in a close second on my list of favorite things directly behind girls. Michael Jackson is my first memory of music. My parents had the Thriller album with Michael lounging with the tiger, and I have vivid memories of dancing circles around our family room listening to that album circa 1987.

Is there anything healthier than dancing? I hope to someday get to a point where I am so happy in life that I come home everyday, throw a CD in and dance around my living room. Until we get to the point where we want to come home and dance, then we aren’t actually happy in life, I truly believe that. I've had a few moments in life where everything is perfect: friends, girls, job, city, and all I've wanted to do in those moments is bust a move. If everyone in the world spent 15 minutes of each day dancing, the world would be a significantly better place.

And what better music to dance to than Michael Jackson?

Life, to me, is one big dance marathon. Starts out great, things slow down, try to figure out how I am going to make it, ultimately make it, feel great (but exhausted) knowing that I completed the challenge and can finally rest.
